The last blog was about some of the spring/summer trends that will be seen this year, a main overall theme that has been showing is the trend of texture. This trend can be assumed to stick around longer than only the next season. Textures do not mean only physical there are also visual textures, an example of this would be floral patterns (which were mentioned as an s/s trend). The following are images that showcase examples of how to wear full outfits of texture.

Pattern on pattern - This may hand down the hardest way to include texture into an outfit, if you are looking for an easy tip I would suggest that you go to the next one. Pattern on pattern is easier when you match the colours in the patterns. Another way is to stick with all the same patterns such as in the photo above using all polka dots with different colours.

Pattern and physical texture - A mix of pattern and physical texture can appear to be an easier way to use texture in an outfit as it's the more traditional style and therefore more ideas are on the internet. However, personally, I find this the hardest as there are so many different ways to accomplish this it's hard to choose an outfit to wear.

All physical textures - This is a great way to make a monochromatic outfit more interesting by having all the pieces have a texture to them. This could mean a ribbed turtle neck with leather pants and a snakeskin purse.

Until next time,
