I'm sure that some people are like me and have already finished their Christmas shopping. However, not everyone has, this blog will showcase some local and small businesses that I love and think would make a great gift for Christmas. Most are tailored towards females, however, some of these places can work for anyone.
1. The Healing Phase
The first brand I want to show you is called The Healing Phase, I love how they have gotten creative and made some great homemade products that really can glam up your hands. These rings may not be as versatile of a gift, however, they are super cute and it helps a small business that happens to be making out of Toronto. Each stone has a meaning behind it that can help you find the ring that will best suit the person you are getting them for. They are all hand made, so I would suggest that if you are interested to get your orders in now so that they can have time to get them ready.
2. SHANA X MILKSHAY
The next product I want to show you is Shana X MilkShay's amazing illustrations. They are well don't and can be a great Christmas present for all ages and genders. There is a variety of images to choose from that stems from shoes to the beautiful lined face pieces that you can see above. You can get prints as well as apparel with the illustrations on them. Again this is another Toronto area based brand, all illustrations are designed by Shana an amazing artist.
3. The Pocket
The Pocket is a new skater and vintage store in Orillia, they have their own pieces as well. If the person you are looking to buy for is a skater or likes that aesthetic then this is the place for you. It's definitely worth a look you never know what you might find.
4. Northern Birtch Boutique
This is a place I just found out about this summer, and it's just outside of Orillia. They have everything you could think of from clothes to jewelry, to home decor. Northern Birtch Boutique would be a great place to find a Christmas present for just about everyone. They even have funny little gage gift ideas that are still cute and usable.
5. Sarahanndipity
Sarahanndipity is a great jewelry store, like The healing Phase they have unique handmade pieces. They have adorable brackets that are made with various beads. They each have their own meanings that can help you see what's best for those you are buying for. They also carry wire rings, necklaces and earrings. They are based out of downtown Orillia and have a beautiful store that displays their products nicely.
6. Coco's Cookies
This last one isn't so much a place to get a Christmas gift, however, it is a great new Orillia bakery that can make Christmas time at home just a little bit better. The wide variety of products and unique flavours make them a must for this Holiday season. Their holiday hours may be limited so I suggest checking them out!
Hope everyone checks out these amazing small businesses that can make everyone's holiday wishlist. The rings from The healing Phase allow for customization and personalization. Another amazing store that does this is Sarahanndipity, there main pull is beaded bracelets. The Pocket is a skater shop that features clothes for that style. A one-stop-shop for great pieces is Northern Birtch Boutique. Finally, Coco's Cookies is just a great bakery to check out and to make your small holiday plans even sweeter. As well, you can now shop on this website, when you hit "shop" in the menu bar it will send you to Redbubble where you can shop through all the designs I have made so far. New designs coming all the time.
