Pantone's 2021 Colour of the year

Happy New Year!! This year was a year to remember and to make up for the mess of a year that we had Pantone decided to appoint 2 colours as the colour of the year for 2021. Grey of course is staying which can be understood as the economic downturn has come yet again due to covid. This can be seen as to why Pantone decided that ultimate gray would be one of the colours for 2021. The second is a perfect example of the hope that we all want in the colour illuminating a soft yet vibrant yellow hue.

Now that we all know the colours of the year for this coming year the next question is how do you wear them together. These colour already go so well together as gray is a perfect base colour and yellow add a pop to the outfit. I have added some outfits below of my own or others that I have seen used these colours together well to help when styling this year. Yellow is a bold colour and it isn't for everyone, it can be worn in a subtle way like as an accent accessory such as a purse like below. If yellow is your colour then go bold and pair a grey pair of the bottom with a cool yellow top or vice versa. These colours go perfectly with last year's colour which can be seen in the third picture below as it appears in the flower and the bag.
