I feel like I've been recreating my look for the last 15 years of my life. It all starts with buying your classic pieces, I would generally suggest that staples are worth spending the money on. However, you don't have to live from just basics, but I wouldn't say to feed into fast fashion too much. Creating your look in 2021 means looking for cool vintage pieces to keep your closet interesting while helping the landfills. This is not always possible, but you can buy new clothes with more purpose in mind. Also, keep in mind that this year the '90s are back and thrifting can be a perfect way to get the same looks for cheaper.

Starting at the bottom down
Bottoms are where it's at in 2021, the new jeans are straight leg and bootcut. A fabric that is making a big comeback is leather, especially for bottoms. Anyone who is into fashion knows that the rules have been thrown out the window, 2021 is shaping up for a whole lot more. High waisted and low waisted are definitely both in and there doesn't seem to be any idea of skirt lengths needs to be or who can't wear them. The fashion does go as far for men other than that the shorts inseam is continuing to shorten.

Midsection and up
Belts are still a great accessory to any outfit, chains are coming back but this time more chic than street. The midsection is again going to be on display as the top for 2021 are bra tops including structured padded crops. Chockers are not as common alone they are now in sets with various sized chains. And the accessories don't stop there they go all the way to the head, in the form of barrettes, clips and unisex bucket hats.
The new looks including many retro styles make sit easy to show second hand, however, things like hair clips are not always something you want used. Luckily the vintage style can be found pretty much anywhere.
Until next time,
