10 basics everyone needs in their wardrobe

1. A classic black dress/suit- This may be an easy one, but there really are a million ways to style a classic black dress.suit. And so many occasions that it can work for, this makes it an even more cost-effective purchase.

2. Fashion boots - In my opinion, there is nothing better than having a good, comfortable fashion boot. These can elevate your fall and winter looks and can make a simple outfit even better. The right boots can even be styled for a boho outfit in the summer.

3. A simple hoop - Even if you aren't one for jewelry a hoop can be a perfect way to add to an outfit. There are multiple sizes from huggies to shoulder length hoops that you can choose based on your personal preferences. Or, a chain or watch can be an alternative if a hoop is not your style (or you don't have your ears pierced).

4. Jean jacket - I am a strong lover of denim, but there are so many outfits that can be perfectly pulled together with a jean jacket. There are a variety of washes allowing you to picked based on your own personal style.

5. White t-shirt - A simple t-shirt can be worn in so many ways and white truly is the perfect one to dress up or down. A casual outfit with jeans or a nicer one with a pencil skirt and a bold necklace.

6. Blue jeans - Everyone needs perfect fitting denim blue jeans. They can be dressed up with a blazer or down with a simple tee.

7. A blazer - As said above with the jeans a blazer can make any outfit a little more put together and can give your outfit just that much more style. There are a lot of trendy blazers however I would suggest paying more for a neutral or black one over a bold colour or pattern.

8. Belt - A good belt can elevate a pair of blue jeans to another level of class and style. For a more feminine look, you can you a belt over a long shirt or to a baggie dress to add shape.

9. A long sleeve (maybe turtle neck) - A common trend currently is a layered look, turtlenecks can add more definition to the layer and is my personal favourite. some wear a graphic overlayed on them or a sweater.

10. Knit Sweater - This can go perfectly over the long sleeve or above with jeans. For girls, a knit can go over a dress or be paired with a skirt for a more feminine look.

All of these items are worth spending a little more money on. Focusing on having items like these that can last a while can be perfect for even those on a budget as with even just these 10 items you can make as least one perfect outfit.
